Essential maintenance

Essential maintenance keeps the website or application secure, fast and functional

A website or web application depends on several parts working together: platform, code, modules, server, forms, images, scripts, cache, emails, databases and API integrations. When one of these parts falls behind, the effect appears in speed, trust or functionality.

Good maintenance does not mean pressing update automatically. It means knowing what should be updated, what must be checked after intervention and what can wait until there is a clear reason. For business websites and applications, the difference appears in stability, data safety and in how easily people can request information, quotes or use internal flows.

Real administration

What website or web application maintenance actually includes

Technical administration

We update website or application components, check compatibility and watch for signs that may indicate post-update errors, module conflicts or unexpected behavior.

Content, structure and data

We adjust texts, images, menus, pages, sections, products or operational data so information remains correct, current and easy to scan.

Web applications and integrations

For custom applications we check flows such as authentication, dashboards, bookings, orders, API syncs, automated emails and admin areas.

Custom application development

Security and recovery

We work with backups, access checks, malware signals, SSL errors and basic measures that help the website or application return quickly to a working state.

Key page and flow experience

We look at areas that influence requests or operations: forms, buttons, service pages, accounts, mobile view, perceived speed and step clarity.

Advantages

What you gain when the website or application is administered consistently

The project rhythm stays controlled

Updates, checks and changes no longer accumulate until they become urgent. The website or application is maintained at a predictable rhythm, with fewer rushed interventions.

Small changes do not block progress

Texts, images, forms, menus or pages can be adjusted when the business changes, without needing a new project for every detail.

Important pages and flows remain usable

We check the pages, forms and flows that matter for contact, quote requests, products, services or internal operations, so users can reach the intended action easily.

Data and forms are handled responsibly

A properly maintained project keeps forms, notifications, policies, accounts and contact flows clearer and easier to manage.

Technical risk decreases

Backups, updates and error observation reduce the risk that a small problem visibly affects the website, application or user trust.

You have a clear support point

When a new need appears, there is already context about the website, application, structure, content, integrations and technical limits. Interventions become faster and more coherent.

Costs and structure

Maintenance can be minimal, one-time or integrated into a broader plan

Maintenance should not be seen as a list of consumed hours, but as operational continuity for a website or application. A digital project used for sales, promotion, customer support or internal operations needs recurring checks, not only interventions when something breaks.

Safe Hat costs 100 € monthly and covers the minimum protection layer: updates, backup before the intervention and functionality checks. Because it is recurring and planned, it has a lower rate than one-time essential maintenance, which costs 160 €.

One-time services have fixed rates according to scope: complete technical audit 100 €, essential maintenance 160 €, complete maintenance 300 € and one-time website development 400 €. Any requirement beyond the described scope is estimated and approved before work starts.

When the objective includes visibility, content, social media or paid campaigns, maintenance is included in Basic Hat, Pro Hat or Max Hat. This way, the website or application is not only repaired, but constantly prepared for traffic, conversions or internal use.

Necessary maintenance

What must be checked consistently for a website or web application

A website or web application depends on several parts working together: platform, code, modules, server, forms, images, scripts, cache, emails, databases and API integrations. When one of these parts falls behind, the effect appears in speed, trust or functionality.

Good maintenance does not mean pressing update automatically. It means knowing what should be updated, what must be checked after intervention and what can wait until there is a clear reason. For business websites and applications, the difference appears in stability, data safety and in how easily people can request information, quotes or use internal flows.

Controlled updates for platform, theme and plugins
Checking application components: authentication, dashboards, orders, bookings, API syncs or automated emails
Backup before important interventions
Checking the contact form and email notifications
Checking commercial pages and main buttons
Watching for visible errors after updates or changes
Optimizing new images and cleaning unnecessary elements
Basic checks for security, access and suspicious files
Correcting SSL errors, wrong redirects and display issues
Updating content: texts, images, services, prices or contact details
Checking perceived speed on important pages
Following the sitemap and pages that must remain accessible
Documenting interventions for clearer decisions on future changes

Project types

What type of project can benefit from maintenance?

Online stores

A store needs attention to products, prices, checkout, transactional emails, security and speed. A small error can directly affect orders.

Custom web applications and CRMs

Applications used for bookings, orders, reports, dashboards or internal processes need checks on flows, roles, data, notifications and external integrations.

Company WordPress websites

Service pages, forms, menus and texts must stay current. Maintenance helps the website accurately reflect the company offer.

Blogs and publications

Websites with frequent articles need organized categories, optimized images, internal links and checks so archives remain easy to browse.

Restaurants, clinics and local services

Opening hours, offers, images, maps, forms and contact details must be updated quickly because visitors look for direct answers.

Landing pages and campaigns

Pages used in promotion must be fast, clear and functional. Maintenance reduces the risk of traffic budget landing on a neglected page.

Administration

Can I administer the website or application myself?

Yes, if you have enough time, attention and technical knowledge. Self-administration works well for simple websites and rare changes. It becomes riskier when there are many plugins, important forms, an online store, applications with users, active campaigns, API integrations or frequent content changes. In these cases, the real cost is not only admin time, but also the risk of a decision made without checks.

How do we choose the right maintenance level?

We start from the project role. If the website only needs to stay updated, Safe Hat may be enough. If the project supports promotion, SEO, content, campaigns or important internal flows, we choose a broader level so maintenance, development and growth are not treated separately.
