Google is testing Business Home, a business management workspace built with Gemini models that brings together tools for a presence on Search and Maps, advertising and customer relationships. The experience is currently a closed beta, available by invitation to selected business categories in the United States and the United Kingdom. Romania is outside the access area Google describes for this test.
The interface connects Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Merchant Center and YouTube. An administrator can work with business information and content tools in one environment, within the permissions they already hold in each service. Connecting an account does not replace verification of the business profile or the rules that apply to the individual product.

Invitation-based access for eligible businesses
According to Google, participation requires an active Google Account and a business based in one of the two countries included in the test. The invited person must own or manage a verified Business Profile. The eligibility criteria specify that the profile must represent the same business with fewer than ten locations.
The documentation also makes access conditional on the type of operation being managed. Accounts handling separate businesses, such as a restaurant and a retail store, are outside the configuration currently supported. Eligible businesses receive an email invitation; simply having a public profile on Google Maps does not automatically provide access to Business Home.
A configuration can connect at most one YouTube channel, one Google Ads account and one Merchant Center account. This structure defines which services can supply information to the beta experience. Permissions remain separate: managing a location requires owner or manager access to its Business Profile, while posting on YouTube requires the corresponding rights to the channel.
Managing information shown on Search and Maps in one place
The locations area supports updates to an address, telephone number, website and opening hours. For businesses with several sites, a filter separates the information for an individual location from the overview of connected profiles. Direct management through Google Search and Maps also remains available alongside the new interface.
Additional features depend on the business category. Google lists menus, in-store product information, services, order pickup and delivery options. These fields are not an identical package for every company: the information being managed must match the activity and options available to that particular business profile.
Photos and videos can be viewed and uploaded for each location. Reading reviews and replying to customers are also available within Business Home. These operations concern the company's connected profiles; a review response or change to opening hours remains associated with the location the administrator is working on, rather than becoming a blanket update for every profile.
Among the initial features, Google includes AI content generation, photo tools and recommended actions for developing a commercial presence. Separately, the company describes setting up AI-powered messaging through RCS for Business to answer customer questions. This component is explicitly identified as RCS messaging, with its own service and its own conditions of use.

A brand identity kit for content suggestions
Business Home uses a Brand kit to adapt suggestions to a company's identity. According to Google, the system analyses the look and feel of the business using its website, social profiles and connected accounts. Administrators can edit brand elements in settings, including the logo, colours, core values, tone of voice and visual direction.
This information is not displayed directly to customers. Its purpose is to guide recommendations for content and posts. Choosing a tone of voice influences suggested wording, while descriptions of the visual style inform image suggestions and enhancements. Editing the brand kit does not, in itself, amount to publishing a post for customers to see.
For logos, Google accepts JPG or PNG files of up to 5 MB with a square aspect ratio. Resolution must be between 500 and 2,000 pixels on each side. These specifications concern the asset uploaded to the Brand kit, separately from the dimensions or rules for photographs published on a Business Profile.
Brand kit settings are specific to a user's Business Home experience. If several people manage the same business, a colleague's attributes can differ and do not automatically synchronise across tool accounts. Google also states that brand assets, AI writing styles and connected feeds remain separate for each business entity, preserving the distinction between their respective materials.
Connected account status remains tied to the original services
Business Home does not give connected products a single shared status. For a Business Profile, verification, suspensions and inconsistent company information remain relevant. For Google Ads, the situation can involve an account suspension, billing issues or disapproved advertising assets. Google directs administrators to review these statuses within the tool where the problem originated.
In Merchant Center, product feed errors and differences between shipping or tax settings and website information can affect product visibility. For YouTube, the documentation identifies copyright strikes, community guideline warnings and access to particular features. Connecting the account to the new dashboard preserves these distinct requirements, with each condition associated with the platform that applies it.
Google describes the product's development direction separately: consolidated insights across connected services, detection of increases in demand and help publishing seasonal offers. These examples appear in the account of how Business Home will evolve over time. The current test consists of the documented initial features, with access restricted to selected businesses and categories in the United States and the United Kingdom.
